Cook green beans and drain liquid. Heat butter in skillet, then add onions and mushrooms and sauté.
Add flour, milk, and cheese. Mix well and cook, stirring occasionally, until thickened. Mix in soy sauce, Tabasco sauce, and salt. Add to beans and mix gently.
Butter a 2 qt. casserole dish. Add mixture. Flatten casserole with spatula, then top with almonds. Place in oven and bake for 20 minutes at 375 degrees.
