Mix rye flour and seasonings. Pour into a flat dish for dipping. In a separate dish, beat eggs until thoroughly combined, then pour into a separate dish.
Retrieve food to be deep-fried. Dip each piece into the flour, coating thoroughly. Do the same with the egg. Add another coating of flour, then drop directly into hot grease. Deep-fry in the standard fashion.
The second coating may consist of bread crumbs, coconut, or ground nuts rather than flour.
