Adapting Recipes

Here at Cheese Salad we try to make our recipes suitable for the largest variety of diets possible. However, if two dietary restrictions intervene, our recipes will fall on the Primal or low-carb side, and may need to be modified to reach certain standards.

For Primal Dishes

  • Make nut flour and use it in place of regular flour.
  • Replace beans with extra vegetables.
  • Use lettuce leaves in place of taco shells - or ditch the wrap and eat filling from a bowl.
  • Use bananas to sweeten instead of honey.

For Low-Carbers

  • Use lettuce leaves in place of taco shells, or ditch the wrap and eat filling from a bowl.
  • Use sweeteners such as agave, stevia, and Sugar Twin in place of honey.

For Vegetarians

  • Replace meat with beans, tempeh, rice, or noodles.
  • For egg dishes, replace eggs with soft tofu, rice, or tempeh.
  • For baked dishes, replace eggs with flax thickener.
